Search Engine Marketing (SEM) primarily refers to placing online advertisements for your product/service and driving qualified traffic to your website where the visit converts to a sale. A year or two ago the primary SEM discussion was focused on keywords and landing pages, but now the field has dramatically pivoted to a discussion of audience and intent.
